The Services provide continuing education courses, certificate programs, and credentialing for licensed mental health professionals.

The Services are not tailored to comply with industry-specific regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FISMA). If your use of the Services would be subject to such laws, you may not use the Services.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

We own or license all intellectual property rights in our Services, including source code, content, design, logos, and trademarks (“Content” and “Marks”).

You may access and use our Services for your personal or professional educational use only. You may not copy, distribute, resell, or exploit our Content or Marks for commercial gain without our written consent.

Any violation will result in termination of your right to use our Services.

All courses and certification programs are subject to availability. Prices may change at any time without notice.

6. PURCHASES AND PAYMENT

We accept: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

By purchasing, you agree to provide accurate payment information. Sales tax may apply.

7. REFUNDS POLICY

8. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You agree not to:

Use the Services for illegal purposes.
Copy or resell our course materials.
Post false, defamatory, or obscene content.
Interfere with site security or functionality.
Attempt to bypass payment for access to educational materials.

9. USER GENERATED CONTRIBUTIONS

You may contribute reviews, comments, or other content. You represent that your Contributions are lawful, accurate, and do not infringe on third-party rights.

10. CONTRIBUTION LICENSE

By posting Contributions, you grant us a license to use and display your content in connection with the Services.

11. GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWS

Reviews must be based on genuine experiences, not false or misleading, and free of discriminatory or offensive language.

12. SERVICES MANAGEMENT

We may remove or restrict access to any content that violates these Legal Terms.

Disputes shall first be attempted informally. If unresolved, binding arbitration will be conducted in Jackson County, Missouri, under AAA rules.

We reserve the right to correct errors or inaccuracies in our Services.

20. DISCLAIMER

Our Services are provided “AS IS.” We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

21. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

Our liability to you is limited to the greater of $5,000 or the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim.

22. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify MWCE for any claims arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Legal Terms.

23. USER DATA

We may maintain and back up data related to your use of the Services, but we are not responsible for loss or corruption of such data.

24. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS, TRANSACTIONS, AND SIGNATURES

You consent to electronic communications and transactions with us.

25. CALIFORNIA USERS AND RESIDENTS

You may contact the California Department of Consumer Affairs if complaints are not resolved.

26. MISCELLANEOUS

These Legal Terms are the entire agreement between you and MWCE.

27. REFUND, CANCELLATION, AND EXCHANGE POLICY TERMS

Self-paced courses and certificate programs are eligible for a refund within 24 hours of purchase if not yet completed.
Live event registrations are refundable up to 72 hours before the event start time.
Otherwise, credit may be issued for future use.
Refunds exclude nonrefundable payment processor fees.

28. OWNERSHIP AND USE OF WEBSITE COURSE MATERIALS

All course materials are the property of MWCE. You may not reproduce or sell them. Materials are for educational use only.

29. PROOF OF DELIVERY

Courses are considered delivered when they appear in your online dashboard or when digital access is granted.

30. TRAINING PROGRAMS AND CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATION

Certificates are awarded by MWCE upon completion of program requirements. They:

Represent educational achievement, not licensure or board certification.
Do not grant the right to practice outside your professional license or jurisdiction.
Require adherence to CE credit and participation requirements.

MWCE certificates are educational, not regulatory.
